My Comment to Atheists (Part 1)

Atheism
and The "Schizophrenic" Christian
FEEL FREE TO COMMENT ON THIS POST. PLEASE REACT.

Yes, I have realized that in this world. there are many people who have fallen out of faith, or at least born and raised without faith. I have been reading an ex-Christian's blog post (ragingrev.com), and in that post, though the thought is logical, I am disgusted about his final point on saying theists (Christians, Muslims, Hindus, Jews, etc.) are mentally handicapped people.

"Like me, those seeking a relationship with God are simply fooling themselves and doing so with good intentions. The fact that one can make his god real and experience him like one experiences the aspects of reality makes that man-made god (all gods are man made) an image of its creator and therefore susceptible to his volition. A seeker in any faith will create a personal God and eventually that God will either justify every whim of that individual or lead him to insanity in trying to please it. This is called schizophrenia."
WHAT?!? First of all (on the "justify every whim" statement) I don't know about other religions, but we Christians have rules that are within good conduct and ethical practices.
Second, you just said in that post that true Christianity is a relationship, not a religion. You are implying that Christianity is all religion.
Are we retards by believing in God? Just because you don't believe in God anymore does not give you the right to label us schizophrenics!
To conclude, here is a story depicting why atheists do not believe.
An atheist and a Christian was arguing on the existence of God. After some time, the atheist said, "I'm going home. I don't see God, you must be delusional, I am not believing."
The Christian, noticing the wind, asked him, "Do you see the wind?"
"No," replied the atheist.
"But do you know that there is wind?" he asked him again.
"Of course," the atheist said in a sarcastic tone, "there is because I can feel it."
"Then you are fooling yourself," the Christian replied, "God is like the wind. We don't see Him, but we can feel Him, but you are so closed to what is not visible."
end of part 1.

coming for part 2 - What comes after death?
